Cork Sheets & Gaskets

Rubber Cork is produced from high-grade cork granules specifically selected and mixed with synthetic / natural rubber binders (Neoprene, Nitrile, SBR or Natural). Rubberized Cork has major superiorities over other gasket material, which makes it ideal for oil is involved.

Synthetic Rubber bonded cork sheets have wide application where gas, oil or any other liquid is used. Thus it has wide application in Transformers & switchgears, Automobiles and General electrical industry. Many applications ranging from gearboxes, inspection covers to water piping gaskets use rubber - cork. In high voltage transformers rubberized cork sheet is used as oil sealants. It is also used as acoustic insulation for sound absorption and vibration damping

Cork gaskets are manufactured from a nitrile bonded cork making them highly compressible and suitable for low and medium bolt pressure. Cork also has good fuel and oil resistance making it a good general purpose gasket material.
