Elastomeric Bearing Pad

Zion Engineering and Rubber Products is an expert in producing elastomeric bearing pads for superstructures. We provide bearing pads with the necessary load carrying capacity based on the specifications and also by LAND TRANSPORT AUTHORITY (LTA) standards. The vertical supports known as piers and the bridge beams are separated by the bridge bearing pads. The main purpose is to absorb the load, transfer superstructure loads to the substructure, and enable the superstructure to move as needed under various environmental circumstances without producing hazardous stresses. The bridge will collapse if the pads are missing. Additionally, by lessening wear and tear on the bridge's material, the Bridge Bearing Pads increase the bridge's lifespan.

In the Bridge Bearing pads, Steel plates are bonded to the rubber through a vulcanization process, this increases the resistance of the bearings to vertical loads. The steel plates are fully embedded along with the elastomer so that they are protected against corrosion.
